Great stopper, January 25, 2011 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: OXO Good Grips Tub Stopper (Kitchen) Funny, you wouldn't necessarily think there is a lot of difference among tub stoppers, but I think this one is much better than average. (I suppose it's also funny to feel so stongly about a tub stopper.) The silicone fits smoothly over the drain, the tab makes it easy to remove, and the suction cup on the back of the tab allows you to stick it on the side of the tub when it's not in use. All without an annoying chain.
I'm puzzled by the review which says it doesn't fit their tub because it's very low profile, even on the back, and I would think that it would fit almost any standard tub drain. I use this successfully with our old claw foot tubs with no problems.

Threw away my old one right away, January 14, 2012 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: OXO Good Grips Tub Stopper (Kitchen) I purchased one of those standard tub stoppers at home depot Danco 80225 1-1/4-Inch Rubber Stopper and it totally sucks. The suction was so tight that the chain ripped off the first time I pulled on it. When I tried to remove it over the next few months I nearly ripped my nails off my hand... then came the OXO tub stopper. Simple yet perfect design. It's just a flat piece of rubber- there isn't anything that wedges into the stopper so it will fit regardless of the size of your stopper (though most are standard). The size keeps the suction and I haven't had any problems with leaks. The tab on bottom has a suction so you can suction to the side of the shower when not in use. The suction is small and doesn't work too well- it ends up on the floor most of the time. I do not suggest this for someone with a baby who refuses to keep the plug... Read more

This has a wide margin of error which is great for kids. Plus it stays in place well until of the course the baby grabs it.
